Born of water, shaped by chance
The body of this guitar is once again crafted from okoume, a wood originally intended for shipbuilding, sourced from the same stock as my previous instruments. The top is made of maple burl-a piece of wood I traveled all the way to Karlovy Vary to find. It was expensive, perhaps unnecessarily so, but materials like this possess a character that simply cannot be replaced.
construction and sound
The neck is crafted from maple and paired with an ebony fretboard-a combination that provides fast response, stability, and clear articulation. the sound is driven by p90s from lokvenc guitars, a new generation of pickups featuring a solid foundation and an exceptionally well-voiced middle position. combined with a 648 mm scale length, a bone nut, and gotoh hardware, the result is an instrument that responds precisely and remains articulate across the entire fretboard.
First burst and patience
This is the first burst-finish guitar i have ever completed. it sat in my workshop for nearly a year in its base coat while i carefully considered its final look. sometimes an instrument needs time to mature in the mind. in the end, it received a nitrocellulose finish on the body and an oiled neck, finally being completed in september 2025. the result is a guitar that combines the courage to try something new with a deep respect for the material.
