Wood with a Story
The body of this guitar is crafted from a spruce beam salvaged from the former Petrof factory building, dating back to 1965. I managed to acquire the beam during a renovation and carefully selected the highest quality, defect-free section to give it a second life. As a result, wood that likely would have ended up in a furnace was transformed into a beautiful guitar.
Neck, Fretboard, and Headstock Shape
The neck is crafted from quartersawn maple and paired with an Indian rosewood fretboard, ensuring both stability and a natural tone. The guitar's character is emphasized by a reversed headstock inspired by 1970s Telecaster Deluxe models, giving it a bold visual signature and a subtle vintage touch.
Sound That Embraces Chaos
The sound is driven by three P90 pickups by Michal Tůma. When the push-pull potentiometer is engaged, all pickups combine to create a "controlled chaos," giving the guitar an unexpected and aggressive character. The instrument was built in Hradec Králové, just a few meters from where the original beam was once located, and was completed in May 2022.
